Skin Tumors

Skin Tumors

Our skin, as a mirror of our age and health, is our window to the outside world. Sometimes due to health problems, sometimes due to structural reasons, we may encounter skin lesions in cases where we do not know the cause. Mass lesions as one of them are called tumors and the word tumor does not mean it is cancer. When it is said that there is a tumor on our skin, it should be known whether it is a good or bad tumor. Benign skin lesions are removed by surgical methods in a non-emergency time, which we call elective, and sent for examination, and the accuracy of the diagnosis is confirmed. Tumors that are thought to be malignant are also surgically removed or sampled in an immediate period, and after the definitive diagnosis is made, it is decided whether additional surgery or treatment is required and the journey continues.
If it is known that there is a tumor on our skin, it is necessary to get information from the dermatologist or plastic surgery doctor without waiting for time. Sometimes lesions that are known or thought to be benign can become malignant over time.
